In lieu of the current energy and environmental crisis around the world, India has gifted solar panels to the United Nations. These panels will be installed on the roof of the United Nation office headquarters. This will help in conserving and generating electricity and it is likely to fulfill the power consumption needs of the building #SolarPanels, a gift from #India, are installed on the roof of the @UN. Apart from this, Flipkart has also ventured into unveiling a similar initiative, they have set a target to reduce consumption of single-use plastic by March 2021. The status of power neutrality was first attained by the airport in August 2015. It has also received a United Nations Champions of the Earth award in 2018.
