Gwinett place mall which was featured in the third season of the Netflix web series, Stranger Things is on sale. In contrast to what it had been shown in the web series, the previously busy mall in Duluth, Georgia is reportedly so empty that in 2017 a dead body went unnoticed for two weeks straight until it was recovered. The local daily in Gwinett broke the news citing confirmation by Gwinnett Place Community Improvement District Executive Director, Joe Allen. Colliers International Atlanta will organize the sale. Yet no price has been listed.

Mall went out of business in recent years

Moonbeam Capital Partners owns a big chunk of the ball. Three major stores, Macy's, Beauty Master, and MegaMart, own their own buildings and will be excluded from the sale. A few years before, the mall was pretty crowded. Yet as per reports, the people in the area were waiting for the property's sale since it's been deserted gradually.

The third season and the portrayal of the mall in it

Stranger Things, a sci-fi horror series, created, written, and directed by the Duffer Brothers  revolves on the investigation by four pre-teen boys from Indiana, US and the supernaturally gifted girl 'Eleven' into an alternate dimension called "the Upside Down" after the Upside Down starts to affect the unknowing residents of Hawkins in calamitous ways. The third season shows the year 1985 in Hawkins, where the newly opened Starcourt Mall (Gwinett place mall) has become the focal point of the town, driving other stores out of business. Chief Jim Hopper is conflicted over Eleven and Mike's budding relationship, while Joyce considers moving out of Hawkins for better prospects, leaving the state of the children's friendships and her own relationship with Hopper. However, strange power fluctuations trigger Will's awareness of something otherworldly, and Eleven and Max sense something is off about the town's residents, and despite having closed the portal to the Upside Down, fears that they are all still in danger.
