Four people have been arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of murdering a police officer named PC Andrew Harper while he was investigating a burglary in Sulhamstead, Berkshire, on August 15. The 28-year-old traffic police lost his life after he was dragged along a road by a vehicle while he was along with a colleague and responding to reports of the theft. He was part of coordinated raids across Berkshire and Hampshire which deployed more than 100 officers, Thames Valley Police said.

The suspects arrest

On Tuesday, a new suspect, 21, from Basingstoke has been arrested. The Thames Valley Police Officers also re-arrested three suspects, two aged 17 and one aged 18. All four were earlier arrested on August 16 but were bailed out until November. One arrested, named Jed Foster, 20, has been singly charged with murder and theft. Yet he denies involvement in PC Harper’s death and remains in custody following a hearing at Reading Crown Court. The re-arrests were done in line with new evidence found in the investigation of Andrew's murder.
