The video of protestors singing 'Baby Shark' to a toddler as a mum and her son were travelling through Beirut on Sunday, October 20, has gone viral on the internet. The video was posted by Twitter user Rachelle Rashid in which one can see protestors encroaching the road when a mother with her baby said they wanted to pass by and the protestors broke into the song "Baby Shark" for the youngster because the baby was seemingly afraid.
It is the largest protest seen in the country
Scores of people in Lebanon came out to the public places in the capital city of Beirut and other places to join the largest protests in the country since 2005. A nationwide general strike has been called by the protestors to demand an end to government corruption and economic woes which have shattered the country. It is the largest protest seen in the country in nearly a decade and is seeing demonstrators marching on the streets in popular urban centres to rally against officials they say are preventing the much-needed reforms. The demonstrations are popular in Lebanon but such a large crowd has not been seen since the revolution that rocked the nation in 2005. The protest started over proposed economic reforms which include the tax imposed on calls made via WhatsApp.

Some demonstrators set up small bathing pools
After being posted, the short clip shows the shocking boy as he is confronted by a crowd of protestors singing to him, has garnered over 96.5K views with over two thousand likes. Rachel mentioned alongside the video that "Our people are the best!". Others also commented on the video as cute and awesome. In Beirut, some demonstrators set up small bathing pools on the main ring-road and in Martyr's Square and camped out in a paddling pool. During the late-night in Tripoli, Lebanese people waved their mobile phone lights and danced turning out the protest into a giant open-air nightclub. The sidewalks have been prompted into impromptu cafes.
