Same-Sex Couple Wedding: Lesbian couple ties the knot in Jaisalmer

A same-sex couple from India-France had a destination wedding in Jaisalmer. The French and South Indian women married at a five-star hotel with family, friends.

A lesbian couple reportedly married in a Hindu ceremony at a lavish wedding which was set at Jaisalmer on November 3. The marriage rituals were hush-hush and so there are no available photographs or detailed information about the destination wedding. Even the partners have hidden their identity yet little of what is known suggests that one of the women is a resident of France and another is a South Indian woman. The tied the dreamy knot in the presence of their families at a five-star hotel in the magnificent Rajasthani city.

One of the first same-sex destination weddings in India

As per reports, the wedding ceremony began on November 2 and concluded on November 3 at Jaisalmer. The wedding sets apart from other same-sex weddings in India so far as it is perhaps one of the first known same-sex destination weddings. The couple reportedly planned their marriage in a grand way to celebrate their relationship. Though the wedding was lavish it was kept secret and attended by only family members and close friends of the duo. Reports suggest that the ‘Mehendi’ celebration was organized on Saturday, while the marriage took place on Sunday.

Another grand same-sex wedding in California

Bianca and Saima from India and Pakistan respectively tied the knot in California in August and their photographs had taken social media by storm. Reports suggest that Bianca Maieli, a Colombian-Indian Christian met Pakistani Muslim Saima at an event in the US and fell in love. The marriage broke the taboo of both same-sex marriage and the rifts between India and Pakistan. At the lavish wedding, Bianca was seen sporting a ravishing ivory sari with heavy gold embroidery. Likewise, Saima chose to wear a black sherwani with gold and colourful embroidery and the two looked great together.
