People in Taipei City flocked to a major local flower market Monday on the eve of the Lunar New Year.
The Jian Guo Weekend Flower Market in central Taipei City is a popular site for last minute purchases.
Buying flowers can often be part of the preparations ahead of the New Year, which this year will be the Year of the Tiger.
Prices for the flowers were lower this year due to over production but sellers at the market were confident that business will still be good.
"People still like flowers, so they come out and buy flowers," one said.
