"1 bike, 1 kitten and a whole world to explore!"

That is what this Scottish traveller’s Instagram post says. He is on a world tour on his bike, and has a cat with him.

On September 1, he left his home in Dunbar to cycle around the world. After three months, while he was travelling to Bosnia-Montenegro border, he found a kitten who has since become his new travelling partner.

An Instagram post asking people to support with funding for his cat’s trip further tells the story. It says that the feisty and loving personality of the cat gave him a fitting name, 'Nala'. At 7 weeks old she was chipped, de-wormed and given a rabies shot. From then on it was set - Nala became his new travel companion and he started riding up front with the world ahead of her.

He adds:Through Montenegro we explored abandoned villas and hidden beaches, with Nala on my shoulder through the good and the bad. Across the border into Albania Christmas soon came and we made our home in the Himara hostel brewing Raki and exploring what Albania had to offer. 27 days later the weather improved, and it was time to move on into Greece. Nala and I want to continue travelling the world on our bike. Please donate what you can to help Nala continue travelling the world and bring her home safely to the UK, thank you!

However, his trip has not been easy. He has faced a lot of difficulties for carrying Nala where ever he goes. One of his post from Athens, Greece in February shows his love for Nala as well as his determination to carry her, come what may.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After travelling to Albania to see the puppy the other day, on the journey back the bus got stopped at customs and every part of it was searched.... twice!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This got me thinking about crossing borders with Nala and how she isnt so easy to hide anymore. So the next few days i looked into everything she needs for making it across the world and turns out its a quite a bit. Every place differs from the next, Some are pretty easy and others just want to make it difficult for some reason. Maybe im just overthinking it all but last thing i want is to have her taken from me at some border point because shes missed a jag and chucked in quarantine for however long at my expense. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Tomorrow though we are getting the titer test done to prove she hasnt got rabies, this involves taking a sample of her blood and sending it to be analysed at a lab in Athens. This can take upto 30 days to receive the results but at least it lets us into some countries! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Feeling a bit deflated with it all but im going to get back on the bike tomorrow and see if cycling clears my head ✌ • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ • ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #adventurecat #shouldercat #cat #🐱#travelnomad #traveltheworld #worldbybike #worldtraveller #biketheworld #cyclinglife #adventurebybike #adventure #adventureseeker #travelblogging #beautyofcycling #cycletheworld #greece🇬🇷 #travel

The man best known as a cyclist on a world tour, carrying his cat on his shoulder has also inked himself with the paw of his cat. A video that the Instagrammers are going crazy about shows Nala sleeping while the man is cycling his way
