Ukraine's Zelenskyy claims nearly 65000 Russian soldiers killed in conflict
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday suggested that the number of Russian troops killed in the conflict was approaching 65,000.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday suggested that the number of Russian troops killed in the conflict was approaching 65,000.
"The total losses of the enemy in killed personnel are approaching 65,000. So many citizens of Russia gave their lives for the possibility of a handful of people in the Kremlin ignoring reality. And judging by the way the Russian 'mobilization' ('mogila' is 'grave' in Russian) continues, we can say that even 100,000 dead Russian citizens will not prompt the Kremlin to think about anything."
Zelenskyy once again switched to Russian to conclude the address, reminding Russian servicemen that "all those who surrender to Ukrainian captivity save their lives".
