Vienna: Photo of squirrel sniffing flower is melting hearts worldwide
An image taken by a wildlife photographer of a squirrel enjoying nature and sniffing flowers has gone viral on social media, during his trip to Vienna, Austria.

A picture taken by a wildlife photographer of a squirrel enjoying nature has gone viral on social media. Dick van Duijn, the photographer behind the picture shared it on his official Instagram page that got more than 23,000 likes. The photo, that shows a squirrel sniffing a flower, was captured during his trip to Vienna, Austria.
Squirrel admires nature
In the picture, the squirrel can be seen sniffing a vibrant yellow flower, with its eyes shut and nose touching the flower petals. The photographer has uploaded a series of pictures of the squirrel, on his Instagram page, in which initially the squirrel can be seen standing on its feet, observing the flower then getting closer to it and later sniffing it.
The picture clearly reveals the existing love between the flora and fauna, in the wild and had received appreciation and recognition from around the world on social media. The photographer revealed to a global media channel that on his trip to Austria, he traveled for a few days in the wild where he noticed the squirrel trying to decide which flower would taste better before taking a bite.

While the squirrel was absorbed in her hunt, the photographer captured multiple images of it. Duijn has posted multiple pictures of the squirrel with different flowers. He also informed that it was a curious ground squirrel that started smelling and tasting the flower and also added that he was really happy after capturing a photo like that, as he went to Austria especially to photograph the ground squirrels.
He admitted that he wished to photograph the squirrel for quite some time and intends to take more in the future. Van Duijn has also shared similar images on his Instagram page of squirrels smelling a poppy flower and also a very large dandelion.
