WATCH: ‘Is it a bird? Is it a plane?’ Stunning meteor lights up Australian skies

The camera at the Royal Adelaide Hospital helipad in Australia captured an unexpected but stunning visual of what is believed to be a meteor a week back. The huge fireball was seen as a tiny circle in the sky before it expands, illuminates the area and beautifully plunges before vanishing, all in a matter of seconds, behind a stationary helicopter.

The official Facebook handle of South Australia Health posted the video with the caption, “Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, the camera from the #RAH helipad captured a perfect view of Tuesday’s meteor as it lit up the night sky over Adelaide.” 

The video has already garnered over 116K views, more than 2.4K likes and close to 500 comments. Watch the video here.

There were many others who spotted it too. One user wrote, "I happened to be driving home on marion road and saw it literally fall out the sky. Thought it was going to start a huge fire somewhere. Amazing but scary to see." "I saw it too. It was AMAZING," read another comment.

Another user wrote, "Great shot. It reminds me of an angel shooting down to help if that is a medical helicopter."

"Woahhh that would have been scary and amazing at the same time!" was another comment.

One interesting comment was, "Glad I didn't see it. I would've totally freaked out."

However, it was not the only sighting of the ‘fireball’, and another Australian named Dylan Bishop also shared a video that his dashcam captured while he was driving in the South of Adelaide. 

According to reports, there were similar sightings in not just Adelaide but also in Victoria.

Another Facebook user named Emily Jane’s security camera also recorded the fireball and due to the night mode, the effect is even more evident as the fireball is seen beautifully enlightening the entire surrounding, gradually almost like a movie scene. Watch the video here,
