Castillo at UNGA condemns Russia over Ukraine war
For the first time since becoming Peru's President in July 2021, Pedro Castillo spoke to fellow government leaders from the podium at the United Nation's General Assembly meeting in New York Tuesday.

For the first time since becoming Peru's President in July 2021, Pedro Castillo spoke to fellow government leaders from the podium at the United Nation's General Assembly meeting in New York Tuesday.
Castillo stated Peru that Russia's "intervention in Ukraine is illegitimate" and condemned "the persistent occupation by Israel of Palestinian and Arab territories."
Peru's President went on to say his administration has pledged personnel to the 6 ongoing UN peacekeeping missions ongoing throughout the world.
He singled out the important of peace in the Central African Republic saying Peru will volunteer police officers to help keep the peace there.
