Zelenskyy claims Russia using cover of Zaporizhzhia NPP to fire at Nikopol & Manganets

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday claimed that Russia was using the cover of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant to fire at the cities of Nikopol and Manganets.

In his nightly address Zelenskyy said "the occupiers are trying to intimidate people in an extremely cynical way" by using the nuclear power plant.

"Every day of the stay of the Russian contingent on the territory of the Zaporizhzhya NPP and in the neighbouring areas of our country the radiation threat to Europe increases," he warned.

Speaking about grain shipments the president said a total of 16 ships with grain for seven countries had left Ukrainian ports.

"These are Europe, Asia, Africa. Almost half a million tons of agricultural products are on board: corn, wheat, sunflower oil, soybeans, and other goods absolutely necessary for the world market," he added.
