According to Forbes Ukraine's report, Russian forces have fired missiles worth $7.5 billion, the Kyiv Independent reported. This amount was reportedly calculated by Forbes after identifying the class of missiles fired by Russia. Meanwhile, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) has revealed that a total of 2,899 Ukrainians have been killed in Russia's attack as of April 28. Out of the total, at least 210 are confirmed deaths of children whereas 3,235 people have been injured. Poland on Friday announced that it is ready to defend Slovakia's airspace if it provides MiG-29 fighter planes to war-torn Ukraine. Earlier this month, Slovakia stated that it might consider supplying the planes to help Ukraine defend itself against invading Russian forces if alternative airspace protection of its own air space could be secured. Transnistria is an unrecognised breakaway state that is internationally recognised as part of the Republic of Moldova. An American citizen who was killed in an attack by the Russian forces while fighting alongside Ukrainian forces has been identified by the American news outlet. According to his family, Willy Joseph Cancel, 22, died Monday in the war, family members confirmed to broadcaster CNN. Cancel is being reported as the former US Marine who went into the war, and was deployed by the private military contracting company at the time that he was killed. The Kremlin says importers should establish an account in dollars or euros at Russia’s Gazprombank, then a second account in rubles. They would pay the gas bill in euros or dollars and direct the bank to exchange the money for rubles. The officials warn that Russia’s central bank could hold on to the money before converting it and in essence use the funds as a temporary loan for the national economy or to prop up the ruble. The EU’s sanctions prohibit any transaction with the Russian Central Bank. German lawmakers have voted in favor of sending heavy weapons to Ukraine, a symbolic decision that reflects the government’s change of course on the issue.
