SKorea remains cautious in response to NKorea

The South Korean government on Monday remained cautious in responding to North Korea's continuous provocative messages.

North Korea issued a series of statements over the last week strongly denouncing South Korea for its civic group's distribution of anti-North Korea propaganda leaflets, and for what it claimed as the South Korean government's failure to carry out what it promised for enhancing inter-Korean relations.

In repeating the government's previous stance, a South Korean Unification Ministry spokesperson said at a regular briefing it urged Pyongyang to abide by the joint agreement between the two countries.
