Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was pictured Monday outside his official residence, the Alvorada Palace, a week after he announced that he had tested positive for the new coronavirus.

He was filmed at the front entrance to the building, speaking on a mobile phone.

Bolsonaro has said he's using hydroxychloroquine, the unproven malaria drug that he's been promoting as a treatment for COVID-19.

He's one of three leaders in the region to have contracted the virus in recent weeks.

The others are Bolivia's interim president Jeanine Añez, and the president of Honduras, Juan Orlando Hernández.
