A horror theme amusement park in the city of Vinhedo on the outskirts of Sao Paulo reopened on Friday with a drive-thru tour after more than four months closed due to the coronavirus restrictions.
Visitors at the Hopi Hari theme park took around 30 minutes to complete the 2.7 km (1.6 miles) of attractions, where they encountered zombies, ghouls, monsters and short reproductions of horror movies.
At the end of the 'Horror drive tour', visitors enjoyed a show from inside their cars, a relief for families and friends who have been cooped up for months in their homes.
"They are adapting themselves, and this is very nice. It allows us to leave our home and have fun", said José Purgato, who came with his wife and two grandsons.
"We were locked at home for such a long time. Now it is a moment to enjoy, as an escape from our routine", said Tariana Souza, who came with her friends.
The attraction cost is 249 reais (approx. 47 US dollars) per car, with up to four people and includes a ticket to return to the park once it is fully opened.
The attraction is open between 6-9:30 p.m. every day until November 1st.
Sao Paulo is the Brazilian state with the largest number of coronavirus cases reported with more than 800,000 and about 31,000 reported deaths by the virus, according to health authorities.
