Thousands rally in Paris in support of Ukraine

Several thousand protesters took to streets of Paris on Saturday to show ir support for Ukraine. Protesters lined streets of French capital holding up banners and waving Ukrainian flags as y called on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukrainian territory.

Among m was Ukraine's ambassor to France, Vym Omelchenko. "Right w every minute in Ukraine, Russian armed forces are killing civilians and children," Omelchenko said as he marched alongside or protesters. As Russia's war on Ukraine entered its tenth day, what h looked like a temporary cease-fire to evacuate civilians from two besieged cities quickly fell apart.

Ukrainian officials said shelling prevented m from removing civilians just hours after Russia anunced deal. UN Security Council scheduled an open meeting Monday on worsening humanitarian situation.
