Trump Blasts Zelenskyy, Says He's Not Important To Negotiation Meetings On Ending Ukraine War

Washington: US President Donald Trump on Friday doubled down over his earlier attacks on Volodymyr Zelensky saying he's not essential to negotiations talks to end Russia's war in Ukraine. In the past couple of days, Trump has repeatedly hit out barbs at his Ukrainian counterpart including holding him responsible for the conflict and tricking America into spending billions of dollars in the war under the previous Joe Biden -led administration.

In his latest attack, speaking to Fox News Radio on Friday, Donald Trump said that he doesn't think Zelenskyy is very important to be at negotiation meetings.

Recalling Zelenskyy's remark when he raised the matter of not being invited to meetings, Trump said that the Ukrainian President was not being invited to the meetings because he did such a bad job in negotiating the war so far.

Trump giving every day setbacks to Zelenskyy 

Ever since Trump kickstarted the negotiations with his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts, the US President has hit out at Zelenskyy on multiple occasions. On Wednesday, Trump called Zelenskyy a swindler who tricked America into spending of billions of dollars in a war that couldn't be won, and should have never started.

In a long note on his own social media platform, Truth Social earlier, Trump blasted at Zelenskyy saying, “Think of it, a modestly successful comedian, Volodymyr Zelenskyy , talked the United States of America into spending $350 Billion Dollars, to go into a War that couldn’t be won, that never had to start, but a War that he, without the U.S. and “TRUMP,” will never be able to settle.”

Zelenskyy doesn't want elections because he fears losing them, says Trump

Trump in a recent social media post slammed Zelenskyy saying he doesn't want to announce elections because of fear of losing. The US President in fact referred his Ukrainian counterpart as ‘Dictator without Elections’ and the only thing he was good at was playing Biden like a dictator.

Prior to this, Trump had blamed Zelenskyy of starting the war with Russia at the first place and not attempting to negotiate it with  Putin.
