The European Union members made it crystal clear that they support the British Parliament's decision to ask for another Brexit delay on October 23. However, reportedly, a European source said that it is unsure what date the leaders will decide in order to extend Prime Minister of Britain, Boris Johnson's Brexit deadline of October 31. PM Johnson had also said that “now we face further uncertainty” after the Parliament voted 322 to 308 against PM Johnson's demand from UK lawmakers to take only three days in order to review the 110-page Withdrawl Agreement.
The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk said that on a phone call with PM Johnson he has justified his reasons to back the delay for Britain's exit. The UK leader had paused the parliamentary session on October 22 and threatened to start the general elections after withdrawing the bill completely.
In my phone call with PM @BorisJohnson I gave reasons why I’m recommending the EU27 accept the UK request for an extension.

EU leaders back the delay
After the House of Commons decision, an EU official said that the meeting was not meant to take any formal decisions. The leaders have agreed on the need for an extension to avoid a no-deal divorce of Britain from the bloc, although the duration of the extension is still being discussed. According to the Chief spokesperson of the European Commission, they have taken note of the Parliament's proceedings in Britain and the European Council's President, Donald Tusk is in touch with EU leaders to shift the deadline to January 31, 2020.
🇪🇺🇬🇧 @EU_Commission takes note of tonight’s result and expects the U.K. government to inform us about the next steps. @eucopresident is consulting leaders on the UK’s request for an extension until 31 January 2020.

PM Johnson threatened MPs
Boris Johnson threatened Parliament that he could pull the bill and try to get lawmakers to vote for a general election that could break the political impasse if the EU further extends the Brexit deadline which is more likely. He has also stood adamant to not tolerate any more delays to Brexit so that the people of the country can move on to other priorities.
PM Johnson while addressing the MP’s stated, "I will in no way allow months more of this. If Parliament refuses to allow Brexit to happen and instead... decides to delay everything until January, or possibly longer, in no circumstances then [can] the government continue with this. And with great regret, I must say that the Bill will have to be pulled and we will have to go forward to a general election and I will argue at that election, let's get Brexit done”
