British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab on Sunday defended strict new coronavirus restrictions in England, but said these could be eased in areas where rates of infection continue to fall.
Speaking on Sky's Sophy Ridge On Sunday programme, he also said he believes "there's a deal to be done" on trade talks with the EU.
On Iran, he said the government was still waiting to ascertain "the full facts" behind the killing of a scientist who led Tehran's disbanded military nuclear programme, as the Islamic Republic blamed Israel, raising fears of reignited tensions across the Middle East.
