UK's Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn said on October 29 that since the 'No Deal' Brexit is off the table, his party will back the December General Elections as proposed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Earlier, PM Johnson faced yet another setback on Britain's divorce from the 27-nation bloc as the European Union agreed to the British MP's demand to delay the process till January 31, 2020. Boris Johnson had planned to persuade the UK lawmakers again to accept his proposal of early general elections to be conducted on December 12. Corbyn not only backed this decision but also said that the opposition will launch the 'most ambitious and radical campaign'.
No Deal is now off the table so tonight Labour will back a General Election.

We're launching the most ambitious and radical campaign for real change our country has ever seen.
This is a once in a generation chance to build a country for the many, not the few.
It's time.
EU on Brexit delay
European Council chief Donald Tusk confirmed on October 28 that the 27-nation bloc has agreed to accept Britain’s request to extend the Brexit deadline till January 31, 2020. “The decision is expected to be formalised through a written procedure,” said Tusk. Earlier he even said that on a phone call with PM Johnson Tusk had justified his reasons to back the delay for Britain's exit. The UK leader had paused the Parliamentary session on October 22 and threatened to start the general elections after withdrawing the bill completely.
The EU27 has agreed that it will accept the UK's request for a #Brexit flextension until 31 January 2020. The decision is expected to be formalised through a written procedure.

PM Johnson seeks elections
PM Johnson wrote to Corbyn saying that he will give the British Parliament one last chance to scrutinise his withdrawal bill by November 6 under the Fixed-term Parliament Act on October 29 and asked for an early general election. However, this motion will also require the support of at least two-thirds of the Parliamentary majority in order to succeed. PM Johnson also believes that if the present Parliament fails to get Brexit done, then the people need a “new one”.
No Deal must be taken off the table: Corbyn
Corbyn had even confirmed his support for election in a tweet on October 24, saying that “No Deal must be taken off the table”. On behalf of his entire Labour Party, Corbyn said that they will fully support the new elections as he himself has been calling for elections, “ever since the last one”.
