Brexit supporters celebrate as UK prepares to leave EU

Brexit supporters celebrated in central London Friday as the United Kingdom prepared to officially leave the European Union.

Most held Union Jacks and signs supporting Britain's exit from the EU. Some wiped their feet on an EU flag.

Arch-Brexiteer Nigel Farage and his band of devotees will gather for patriotic songs and speeches later Friday in London's Parliament Square.

Britain's political headquarters at Number 10 Downing street will be displaying a clock to countdown to Brexit at 11pm, however the iconic Big Ben will not be tolling to commemorate the moment.
