The former presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton expressed her support for the Duchess of Sussex and slammed the British media for the negative treatment towards Meghan Markle. In an interview with an international media outlet, Clinton said:

"I want to hug her, put my arms around her and want to tell her to hang in there." She further criticized the British press for subjecting the former actor with sexist and racist remarks.

The former First Lady who is currently on a promotion tour for 'The Book of Gutsy Women', co-written by her daughter Chelsea Clinton,  described the duchess as an 'amazing young woman' and said that the Royal couple is struggling to have a life of meaning and integrity on their own terms. Clinton says that the world should be celebrating the royal love story instead of ill-treating the duchess. She says that it is tough what the duchess is facing. There are some techniques that can be learned along the way, some humor, some deflection. She deserves a lot better, Clinton adds.

She said that if the reason behind it is Meghan being biracial then it is a shame on all. She also said that she is a huge Meghan fan and believes that she is a woman of guts.
