British PM on Brexit: 'There's a way forward to secure our interests'

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated that he can see a way forward, concluding a deal with the European Union in mutual interests before Brexit occurs on the scheduled date of October 31. He also warned his cabinet members that there was still a significant amount of work to be done to save a settlement before Brexit. 

Last-minute deal with EU 

Boris Johnson addressed his cabinet, informing them about the last-minute deal with EU, as both sides mutually considered intensive talks to avoid a disorderly Brexit on Oct. 31. A spokeswoman from Johnson’s workplace stated that he announced that there was a way forward for a deal that could secure all interests of both the sides, but a lot of work needs to be done to make that happen and that they must be well prepared to leave on October 31.

Boris explained that his recent talks with the EU have been very constructive and that he is looking forward to more talks between October 10-11. He is also hopeful that the EU leaders would approve the discussed deal at the recent summit in Brussels. However, in any eventuality, it is reported that he would need to persuade a deeply divided British Parliament to ratify the settlement, at the House of Commons on October 19.

Britain to split from EU on October 31, with or without a deal

According to reports, if Boris succeeds to pass the deal, then world’s fifth-largest economic system would split up from its greatest business accomplice with preparations in place to minimize disruption at borders and protect the advanced provide chains that underpin the economic system.

However, if he fails to break the deal with EU leaders, several lawmakers would try to delay Brexit. Johnson had earlier stated that he will try his best to split Britain from EU on October 31, with or without a deal. 

On the other side, the EU’s government also stated that a lot of work needs to be done, on Saturday. It also mentioned the talks scheduled for Monday and that Michel Barnier, the EU negotiator would replace the 27 member states, all except Britain at the gathering in Luxembourg on Tuesday.
