Undercover Activist in Mienenbuttel reveals animal abuse in German lab

A disturbing case of animal abuse has come to light where images show monkeys trapped in metal harnesses and cats and dogs are bleeding in a German toxicology laboratory. The abuse reportedly took place at an LPT Laboratory of Pharmacology and Toxicology in Mienenbuttel on the fringes of Hamburg, as per German animal activist organisation Soko Tierschutz and Cruelty-Free International.
Activist uncovers animal abuse
The images and footage purportedly show the monkeys in a row strapped to metal brackets, some their heads can be seen restrained and it is apparent that they are attempting to escape from the facility, A dog on the hand could be seen bleeding. The images were captured by an undercover activist who worked at a facility which the activist claims that animals were kept in horrific conditions and test were carried out on dogs, monkeys, cats and rabbits.

The unnamed undercover activist got the job at a research facility from December 2018 to March 2019, which he said that he witnessed testing on dogs, cats and rabbits carried out for companies worldwide.
Reaction from an animal rights organisation
Reports said that Friedrich Mullen from Soko Tierschutz has said that worst treatment was kept for the monkeys. The Macaque breed of monkeys are small and light primates which were often used for animal experiments at LPT. He said that they are kept in cramped conditions in small cages. .
