Addressing PM Narendra Modi as a friend, he said he will be with the Prime Minister in Houston, Texas. "Will be in Houston to be with my friend. Will be a great day in Texas!" he tweeted. The White House Press Secretary stated that the ways to deepen the energy and trade relationship would be discussed during the meeting between PM Modi and the US President. Subsequently, PM Modi thanked the US President's “special gesture”. He opined that US President Trump joining the 'Howdy, Modi!' gathering was a recognition of the contribution of the Indian community to American society and economy. Also, singing sensation Sparsh Shah has been selected to perform the Indian National Anthem at the event.
