A mother took to Facebook to share an incident when on October 17 she thought that a ghostly baby was sleeping next to her son in the cot. Martiza Elizabeth confessed that she could not sleep the night she discovered a peculiar image of a baby next to her son when she checked her baby monitor to ensure that her child was asleep. However, the mystery scared the mother for nearly two days before she discovered that her husband had changed the sheets of the cot without putting the mattress protector. Elizabeth later says “she could kill him” hilariously referring to her husband Arvid Cibuls.

'Creepy but so funny'

The Facebook post with more than four lakh likes and hundreds of comments along with 265 thousand shares has fueled some hilarious comments by the netizens who were initially creeped out by the incident but ended up finding it amusing. Since Arvid did not put the mattress protector, the optical illusion in the baby monitor showed a sticker of a baby on the mattress of the cot as a real baby with a blurry outline. One of the Facebook users also admitted that she could not stop laughing, while others were also seen tagging their partners to avoid something similar happening in their home. One of the internet users also thanked Elizabeth for sharing her storyl.

Wanted to spread a little humour

While talking to an entertainment media, Elizabeth disclosed her experience of trending on the internet and admitted that she had checked her son throughout the night but wanted to spread a little humour of her being so scared and entering her son's room. Moreover, she also faced criticism as some of the netizens called her a “bad mother” for photoshopping the image and not being concerned about her child's safety. However, Elizabeth has reportedly been trying to avoid the negative and focus on her story which sounds serious but has a funny end. The only reason she shared it on Social media was to let her friends know about the incident and she had not expected it to “spread so far”.
