New York lawyer is the source of $500,000 paid to Rudy Giuliani

Reportedly, a supporter of the US President, Donald Trump, paid a sum of $500,000 to Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, as a representative of a company co-founded by a Ukranian-American businessman who had extended his help towards Giuliani in order to investigate former Vice President, Joe Biden, in a corruption scandal that also involved his son, Hunter Biden.

A "donation" to help Rudy Giuliani

According to reports, Giuliani did not reveal the exact source of the payment and said that he had received the money for his services to the company of the businessman, Lev Parnas. The main reason for the payment of $500000 to attract attention was Parnas' role in helping Trump's personal lawyer to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, one of the contenders for the 2020 Presidential election, and his son, Hunter Biden, who was a director of a Ukraine based company, Burisma holdings.

Money paid to Giuliani Partners LLC

According to Randy Zelin, his client, Charles Gucciardo, had paid the amount of $500000 to Giuliani Partners LLC, a management and a consulting organization on behalf of Fraud Guarantee, a company owned by Lev Parnas. He further added that the money had been treated as a loan.

Zelin stated that Gucciardo paid the "loan" because he believed that Rudy Giuliani was functioning in accordance with the principles of the company and Zelin also added that his client's actions were not politically motivated and were irrelevant.

According to reports, the officials are investigating Giulani's communication with Fraud Guarantee chief and another person, Igor Fruman, who was charged under the accusations of campaign finance charges. However, both Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman both have pleaded not guilty to the charges. Both Parnas and Fruman have been charged with allegations that they were making illegal donations to candidates in the American political sphere.

Guiliani hires a new legal team to defend Trump

US president, Donald Trump's lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, stated that a new legal team had been appointed to defend Trump's role in asking Ukrainian President Zelensky to investigate former Vice President. The situation placed Rudy Giuliani at the center of an attempt by the Democrat-led House of Representatives to impeach the American President. Giuliani also defended his role in representing Trump in the Ukraine corruption scandal by stating that he was merely trying to prove the accusations against the American President are false.
