Police in Philadelphia on Sunday fired what one witness described as "smoke bombs" during protests in the west of the city, as demonstrations continued for another day following the death of George Floyd.
The police, using a large armoured vehicle, were filmed shooting the projectiles, while other police vehicles followed close by.
The video, released on social media, comes as police fired tear gas at protesters in one predominantly black neighbourhood the city.
Protests have been held for days in cities all over the United States in response to Floyd’s death.
Floyd, who was black, died Monday after a white police officer pressed his knee on his neck until he stopped breathing.
