President Donald Trump said Wednesday there is a "good chance" that the coronavirus will not return this fall, as some experts have predicted.
Speaking at the White House coronavirus briefing, Trump looked to clarify statements made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director, Dr. Robert Redfield, who told the Washington Post in an interview that a second wave of the virus this winter could actually be worse than the one we are currently riding.
Trump told reporters if the virus does resurface, "it won't be coming back in the form that it was. It will be coming back in smaller doses that we can contain."
But he insisted there are many who believe it may not return at all.
"We're going to be watching for it, but it's all possible. It's also possible it doesn't come back at all," he said.
