Trump favors rapid virus testing, weighs funding
The president said he will be briefed later tonight on the question of increased funding for tests being considered in the next stimulus bill.If the health professionals and doctors say that we need to do more, he said, "I am OK with it."
President Donald Trump has resumed a starring role in the White House’s coronavirus briefings on Tuesday, returning to the podium in the press briefing room in hopes that he can shore up support for his administration’s work amid flagging poll numbers.Asked about the state of testing in the United States, Trump said he favored virus tests that gave quicker results acknowledging that days long delays in test results were a problem.

He said the country has learned so much about the disease, and that his administration will stop at nothing to save lives lives.The president also refuted earlier statements from press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who said he had multiple tests for the virus daily. "I do on average take a test every two or three days," the president said.
