Ever since Bernie Sanders suffered a heart attack, his campaign is to seek assurance to supporters that he is still a potential presidential choice. Many of his events were cancelled after the attack, which was followed by heart surgery. The latest campaign gave a befitting answer to the press with many policy announcements and endeavoured to turn the health alarm to a message about his signature Medicare for All policy. His campaign is going ahead with a $1.3 million Television ad purchase in Iowa, the urgent early casting a ballot express that will commence the Democratic essential challenge in the month of February next year.
Oldest candidate to contest
Sanders cleared his beforehand frantic campaign planned after his heart attack earlier this month when his candidacy has been obscured by fellow liberal Elizabeth Warren's climb as a central contender to early front-runner the 76-year old Joe Biden. Sanders, who is 78 years old, is the oldest candidate to contest against the current Republican President of the United States, Donald Trump, who is 73-year-old, in the elections scheduled in November next year. Bret Nilles, Democratic chair of Iowa’s Linn County in a statement to the news agency said that the question that comes in the mind of people is whether Sanders is going to be around for eight years after the election.
Sanders suffered a heart attack
Bernie Sanders has dropped his election campaign, subsequent to being hospitalized in Las Vegas with a blocked artery at the beginning of this month. Sanders' senior counsellor Jeff Weaver said in an announcement that during a campaign, the last night he encountered some chest distress and complained to it. He included that during therapeutic assessment and testing he was found to have a blockage in one artery and two stents were effectively embedded. Weaver said that Sanders will rest up for the following couple of days. He said they are dropping his occasions and appearances until further notice from the hospital and they will keep on giving required updates.
