Biden: Trump 'not chastened' by impeachment
Democrat Joe Biden says President Donald Trump was "not chastened” by being the only president to be impeached and have a member of his own party vote to remove him from office. Instead, Biden said, "it emboldened him."
Democrat Joe Biden says President Donald Trump was "not chastened” by being the only president to be impeached and have a member of his own party vote to remove him from office. Instead, Biden said, "it emboldened him." Asked what he would do if he lost the election, Biden said Thursday that he hopes that if he fails to beat Trump, then it doesn’t mean “we are as racially, ethnically and religiously at odds with one another as it appears the president wants us to be."
Biden says if he loses he will return to teaching at the University of Pennsylvania. However, he also said he would continue to press for racial justice, but that urging President Trump to follow that path "would be hard." Biden also said he was tested for the coronavirus before the Thursday night town hall, and that he plans to attend the final presidential debate.
