Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest has occurred each July 4th in Coney Island since 1916.
Champions Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo will try to extend their dominance in the world's premier hunger game when they take on the top competitive eaters in the world.
The champions weighed in on Friday confident of victory.
Chestnut, who has won the contest 12 of the last 13 years, is the favourite to win the men's championship.
On the women's side, Sudo, the six-time defending champion is favoured to retain her title.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, this year's competition will not be held at its traditional location in Coney Island, but rather at an undisclosed, spectator-free location.
