Donald Trump further said that he cherishes New York, however, he has faced challenges with the political leaders of both the city as well as the state. The US President and the First Lady had reportedly filed individual declarations of domicile in September to change their primary residence from Manhattan to Palm Beach.

Evading tax?
According to some reports, the US President is changing residence to Florida mainly due to tax purposes. The 56th governor of New York, Andrew Cuomo, replied to Donald Trump's announcement saying it is a 'good riddance' and that the US leader did not pay taxes in the city. Mayor of New York, Bill de Blasio also said he offers deepest condolences to the people of Florida as the President is trying to 'outrun his past along with his future'. De Blasio also told the US leader to not 'let the Door hit you' while moving out of New York.
Good riddance.
