After Donald Trump's blunder, the United States taking a step back has now said that Kashmir is a 'bilateral issue' for India and Pakistan and that the US can provide assistance.

In a statement, the US said that while Kashmir is a bilateral issue  for both the countries, the 'Trump administration welcomes Pakistan and India sitting down and the United States stands ready to assist'

The statement further New Delhi's stand of 'talks after curbing terror' and said "We will continue to support efforts that reduce tensions and create an environment conducive for dialogue. Putting the country's duplicity to display yet again, the Pakistani Prime Minister said that the 'Kashmir conflict has held the subcontinent hostage for 70 yrs' and that generations have suffered due to the conflicts, however, blatantly overlooked India's sole demand of 'irreversible' and 'credible' resistance from Pakistan on terror.

Sitting alongside Trump in the Oval Office, the Pakistan PM Imran Khan had asked the US President to conciliate the Kashmir dispute with India, to which Trump in a fallacious claim stated that he was already asked by PM Modi to do the same, further expressed his willingness to be the mediator between the two countries.

Meanwhile, India exercising its sovereignty has persistently rejected a third-party mediation and stated that the issue with Pakistan will be discussed bilaterally.
