A father in Massachusetts is facing criminal charges after his 5-year-old son allegedly took heroin to school and said that it made him feel like Spiderman. According to reports, Benny Garcia's son took a small bag of Heroin to his school and put some of the powder in his mouth. The young boy then told his teacher that he had acquired the bag from his livingroom and eating the powder turned him into Spiderman, whose image was plastered on his school bag. The teacher informed the principal of the "substance", who immediately informed the police.
'Spiderman Heroin'
While speaking to a local media outlet, Lt. James Albert of the Holyoke Police stated that after they acquired permission from the boy's mother to search the house premises, they found 200 bags of heroin and cocaine alongside a Spiderman bag which similar to the boy's school bag and as the authorities arrested and handcuffed Benny, bags of white powder fell from his pocket.
Garcia pleaded not guilty to the drug possession and child endangerment charges. Albert said that social services took Benny's children away from the family. He further added that the officers were taken aback as such a thing is not a frequent occurrence.
However, Benny Garcia will be in custody without bail until a formal court hearing on November 20. He has a previous criminal record of being charged with the possession of drugs in 2018.
Professors turned drug dealers
Two professors at a university in Arkansas have been accused of making meth within the university premises. Professors, Terry Bateman and Bradley Rowland who teach the subject of Chemistry at Henderson State University, were arrested by the authorities on November 15 and have been accused of cooking methamphetamine and using paraphernalia.
According to reports, both Terry and Bradley have been on administrative leave after reports of a chemical odor coming from the university's science block were bought to the notice of the authorities.
