The 16-year-old climate activist, Greta Thunberg said that United States President Donald Trump's denial of climate change was 'so extreme' that it has helped many people to 'wake up'. In an interview with an international media agency, the teen activist said that President Trump delivers such extreme things that have provoked people to quit the long period of waiting while the climate emergency is destroying the planet. When the US President was elected, Thunberg thought it would be then when people 'finally wake up' instead of continuing their life like nothing is going to happen and thus, in that perspective, President Trump is actually contributing to the fight against climate change.

Ready to board a sailboat

Greta Thunberg is all set to board a sailboat to Europe from Hampton, Virginia after staying in America for nearly three months. A young Australian couple has volunteered to help Thunberg in motivating her in her return amble. Elayna Carausu and Riley Whitelum live on their catamaran with their 11-month-old boy responded to the teen activist's appeal for help with an environmentally friendly return trip to Europe. The couple had originally planned to spend winter in the US, however, now they will take Greta Thunberg along with her father Svante Thunberg on their 'La Vagabonde', their 14-meter catamaran.

The group will be accompanied by a professional sailor, Nikki Handerson, who will guide the journey which should take two weeks depending on the weather conditions. Their destination is Portugal for Thunberg to participate in the United Nations climate summit in Madrid, Spain. The original venue for which was Chile but had to be shifted because of the political unrest, forcing a change of plans for the teen environmentalist.
