After the thunderous Howdy, Modi event in Houston, the president of the United States of America has posted a video from the NRG Stadium. In the video, Trump can be heard thanking the Indian American community in the US and expresses his gratitude to Prime Minister Modi. Calling him a 'great leader' and 'a friend', Trump has also asserted that both the leaders will work together to make their countries better than before. The video shows various glimpses from the Howdy modi event on September 22 at the NRG Stadium.

On September 22, Prime Minister Modi and US President Donald Trump addressed the 50,000 Indian Americans in Houston's NRG Stadium. The personal bonhomie between both the world leaders were at display, with both, declaring openly that the other has been its best friend. While PM Modi spoke on a range of issues from 'New India' to the flourishing Indo-US ties, Trump vowed to fight against terror and expose those giving safe havens to terrorists. Organized by the non-profit Texas India Forum, the event, with the tagline 'Shared Dreams, Bright Futures'. It highlighted the tremendous contribution of Indian-Americans in the US and the strong and lasting partnership between the US and India. Prime Minister Modi's address was preceded by a cultural program that showcased Indian-American artists from Texas highlighting the fusion between the two cultures.

Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to meet the US president on September 24 for bilateral talks. Apart from meeting the United States president Donald Trump, the Prime Minister on Tuesday is also scheduled to attend the state luncheon for the Head of States hosted by the United States Security Council (UNSG). The PM will then meet the India Pacific Island leaders. Another important event of the day is a special program celebrating the 150 birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The PM will then attend the Goalkeepers Global Goals Award hosted by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
