Indian Americans are more likely to support former vice president Joe Biden, a member of USA's Democratic party according to a survey conducted. Biden is a presidential candidate for the 2020 US elections.
According to the report, almost all the voters of the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities, irrespective of the candidate they supported, feel that Biden has the best chance to beat President Donald Trump. A statement released by AAPI Victory Fund on Wednesday said that voters of Indian origin are likeliest by far to support Mr. Biden.

AAPI voters enthusiastic on Harris and Yang
The poll also measured satisfaction for three AAPI candidates - Senator Kamala Harris, Representative Tulsi Gabbard, and Andrew Yang. Harris is the first US Senator of Indian origin, Gabbard is the first Hindu running for US presidency, and Yang is of Chinese origin.
The survey showed a three-way tie among Biden, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Senator Elizabeth Warren among the AAPI voters in the US. The voters of AAPI showed great zeal on Harris and Yang. Around 55 percent of the voters are expected to be satisfied with these two candidates, leaving 15-20 percent unsatisfied. The report indicated that Yang looks much better among younger voters and Harris among older voters. The voters of the Chinese descent are least likely to support Biden whereas most of the Filipino voters supported either Biden or Warren, it said.
AAPI voters' choices are being guided by concerns that are unique to their communities: Ben Greenfield
The poll was conducted by Change Research and sponsored by Investingin.us and the AAPI Victory Fund. The result was released on Sunday in connection to the first-ever AAPI Democratic Presidential Forum held in Costa Mesa, California. Ben Greenfield of Change Research said the survey found that the AAPI voters' choices are being guided by concerns that are unique to their communities.
He also added that AAPI voters get direct threats from White Nationalism, racial and religious profiling and are even more focused than other Democratic voters on issues of education and preventing gun violence.
