Police say a group of about 150 marched in Portland streets and damaged the headquarters of the Democratic Party of Oregon Wednesday night.

The group smashed windows and spray-painted anarchist symbols at the political party building and police say eight arrests were made.

Police say it was one of four groups gathering in the city on Inauguration Day.

Local media reports say protesters also gathered outside the Portland Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ICE, offices.

Video showed as federal officers deployed crowd control munitions, including tear gas, which was also confirmed by local station KATU-TV.
