Trump uses 'scary' mug shot in US Presidential Election 2024 campaign

Former US president Donald Trump, who was arrested and released on August 24, has used his mug shot for his US Presidential 2024 election campaign. The mug shots are taken when a camera shutters. The shutter opens and closes in a fraction of a second, freezing the picture in front of it for all time. According to the professor at the University of Southern California Annenberg School of Communications, Marty Kaplan, “It will be forever part of the iconography of being alive in this time,” reported AP. 

For the first time in history, a former president of the United States was arrested and photographed in a pose more often associated with drug traffickers or intoxicated drivers. This has created and documented a micro-inflection moment in American society. However, Donald Trump has come back with a unique idea in which he has used the same mug shot for fundraising.

Taking to social media platforms, Twitter and Trump's Truth Social, the former US President has posted a mug shot. The photo has been used for raising funds for the upcoming US Presidential Elections in 2024.  Further, one can see that Trump confronting the camera in front of a bland grey backdrop, his eyes meeting the lens in an intense glare. He’s wearing a blue suit, white shirt and red tie, his shoulders squared, his head tilted slightly toward the camera. The sheriff’s logo has been digitally added above his right shoulder, reported AP.

In Trump's fundraising campaign brochure, he personally gave a note where he wrote, " Today, at the notoriously violent jail in Fulton County, Georgia, I was ARRESTED despite having committed NO CRIME." Further, he insisted that the people of America should be aware of what's been going on.  He also verbally attacked the democrats and said, " What has taken place is a travesty of justice and ELECTION INTERFERENCE." He warned that the left has been trying to intimidate the people of America out of voting for a political outsider who puts the American people FIRST.
On his arrest in Atlanta jail, he said that he has "walked into the lion’s den with one simple message on behalf of our entire movement: I WILL NEVER SURRENDER OUR MISSION TO SAVE AMERICA." While concluding his personal note, he sought donations.
