A witness claims guns were fired from a car
Until now the suspects have been not been identified by the Police. Yet one witness, Lambert Alcendor, 21, who lives in the area claimed that he saw a car drive by and heard gunshots coming from the vehicle. He told the Police that he was walking to a liquor store at 7th Street and Temple Avenue when he saw a white car swerving on 7th Street in front of the nail salon and heard 20 to 30 shots fired. As a result, he ducked behind a car on 7th Street near Gladys Avenue, and when he looked back toward the area the car was gone. Though he didn't see firing straight out of the car, he felt confident that the shots came from there. Yet Police have not confirmed the source of the shots. The number of shooters has also not been confirmed yet.
Another native, Oscar Cancio, 33, said that he was unloading hockey equipment from his car in his parking lot on 7th and Walnut when he heard between nine and 11 gunshots back to back. Initially, he imagined them to be fireworks until he heard a helicopter circling overhead and sirens approaching. Just then he reached the crime scene and found that people were killed. He added that many in costumes were also seen limping while they were making their exit.
