US: Cheers as anti-Biden banner waved in Capitol breach

Video filmed as a mob loyal to President Donald Trump breached the US Capitol on Wednesday shows crowds cheering as a man waves an explicit anti-Joe Biden flag.

Loud bangs can also be heard elsewhere in the footage uploaded to social media, as well as a group laughing after a man jokingly shouts "Nancy, I'm home".

Members of the crowd, many holding American flags and pro-Trump banners, cheer and chant "USA".

The pro-Trump crowds stormed the Capitol, breaking through barricades to roam the halls and offices and ransacking the building.

By Saturday, prosecutors had filed 17 cases in federal district court and 40 others in the District of Columbia Superior Court for a variety of offenses ranging from assaulting police officers to entering restricted areas of the US Capitol, stealing federal property and threatening lawmakers.
