Ottawa: After a violent attack on a Hindu temple in Brampton, a video is gaining traction on social media that appears to show Canadian police violently thrashing devotees protesting against the Khalistani attack.A user by the name of Daniel Bordman shared the clip on his social media handle, alleging that the RCMP targeted Hindu worshippers punching them in the head and beating them with batons."The RCMP start attacking Hindu worshippers on their own temple grounds in Surrey BC. The attack by Khalistanis on the Hindu-Canadian devotees inside the premises of the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton shows how deep and brazen has Khalistani violent extremism has become in Canada. I begin to feel that there is a small grain of truth in the reports that in addition to Canadian political apparatus, Khalistanis have effectively infiltrated into our law enforcement agencies."“No wonder that under the 'freedom of expression' Khalistani extremists are getting a free pass in Canada. As I have been saying for long, Hindu-Canadians, for the security and safety of our community, need to step up and assert their rights and hold politicians accountable,” he further said in the post.Indian High Commission in Canada Condemns 'Violent Disruption' Outside Consular CampThe Indian High Commission in Canada strongly condemned the attack outside the consular camp saying, "It is deeply disappointing to see such disruptions being allowed for routine consular work" and raised concerns over the safety of Indian nationals in the country.The Indian High Commission in the press release expressed disappointment saying, “It is deeply disappointing to see such disruptions being allowed for routine consular work being organized by our Consulates with the fullest cooperation of local co-organizers.”It further raised concerns for " the safety of applicants, including Indian nationals, on whose demand such events are organized in the first place.""In light of these incidents, and with the continued threats posed to the Indian diplomats &amp; officials, local venue organizers as well as local attendees, organization of further scheduled consular camps will be contingent on security arrangements made for them by local authorities. In case any camp is infeasible to be held due to such disruptions, alternative arrangements will be made to render those services, which may unfortunately inconvenience local users of these services.
