Protesters including family members of those kidnapped by Hamas on Oct. 7 are marching from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, demanding the release of the hostages.
Carrying images of those who were kidnapped, the protester reached Latrun on Friday and are expected to reach Jerusalem on Saturday.
"I'm here this morning in Latrun because we walk our way to Jerusalem, where our government is... we demand from them to bring back our loved ones," said Amir al-Fassa, whose 56-year-old aunt was among those kidnapped.
Roughly 240 hostages were taken by Hamas militants during their Oct. 7 rampage in southern Israel that killed at least 1,200 people.
Images of the hostages have become seared into Israel’s collective consciousness.
The panicked woman being dragged off by militants on a motorcycle, her boyfriend marched across the border on foot.
The terrified mother, wrapped in a blanket, clasping her two young children.
"We're here to get the people of Israel out on the streets, marching, sending a message to the decision makers in the government to hear us and to act, and to act now to free our loved hostages," said Yuval who only gave his first name, speaking at the march.
As the Israeli military tightens its grip around Gaza City, some of the friends and family of the roughly 240 hostages held by Hamas fear their loved ones will be an afterthought for the politicians and generals directing the campaign.
Hamas on Monday released video of the first hostage confirmed to have died in captivity.
Hamas has previously said it would let the others go in return for thousands of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel, which has dismissed the offer.
