Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: The Bollywood actor has been discharged from the hospital 5 days after being attacked by an intruder at his Bandra residence. He sustained two injuries on his arms and one on his neck. The most serious wound was on his back, near the thoracic spine. Dr Nitin Dange during a press meet explained that the knife went deep into his back, touching the dura and spinal cord but avoiding permanent damage. “A sharp object was lodged inside, which went very deep, touching the dura and the spinal cord, but it has not damaged the spinal cord,” he said.

Saif Ali Khan didn't greet the paps stationed at the venue and quietly left in his car followed by Kareena Kapoor.

Ahead of Saif's arrival, several videos went viral on the internet that showed the residence was covered with nets to enhance security. Even new CCTV cameras were being installed in the balcony area.

What is the update on the investigation?

Mumbai Police have recovered multiple fingerprints of the accused from various parts of the house, including the bathroom window from where he entered and exited, the duct shaft and the ladder he used to enter from the duct, the official said. Later, they took the accused to the National College Bus Stop, where he slept till 7 AM after the attack, to recreate the crime scene.

Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a native of Jhalokathi district in Bangladesh , had been residing in Mumbai for over five months, working odd jobs and was associated with a housekeeping agency, police said. On Sunday, the metropolitan magistrate's court in Bandra remanded him in five-day police custody.
