With the Congress and BJP going head-to-head, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan looking to continue his Chief Ministership beyond the 13 years he had already been at the helm of affairs, there is every chance that Madhya Pradesh's fate will be a reflection of the people's verdict on the two parties' leaders. In the fray are Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP party president Amit Shah and CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan at one end, and Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his senior Congress leaders Kamal Nath, Digvijaya Singh and Jyotiraditya Scindia at the other.
