Yogi Adityanath

Yogi Aditynath was born on 5 June, 1972 and started his political career at a very young age and contested his parliamentary election in 1998 at the age of 26. He is also the head priest of Gorakhnath Math and has presented the Gorakhpur seat for five terms establishing himself as a prominent figure in the arena of politics. In 2017, he resigned from the Parliament and contested in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. His campaign capitalized on his strong local base and resonated with the voters, leading him to a landslide victory and making him the state's first Chief Minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In 2022 again, he was elected as the Chief Minister for the second time solidifying himself as a major player in the arena of Indian politics.
