As Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertakes a two-day visit to Uttarakhand on May 18 to pay obeisance at the Himalayan shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath, a day after campaigning for the last phase of the staggered Lok Sabha elections spread over more than a month, Opposition has criticized the PM on what is his official visit.
Taking to Twitter, former Chief Minister of Bihar Rabri Devi mocked it as an event to catch eyeballs and said that 'God would have come to meet him if he wanted'.
Here's her Tweet:
"God would come to you to meet you stepping on the red carpet, why did you go?
This is the limit... people know and they understand these symbolic conspiracies."
On Saturday, Prime Minister Modi took to his Instagram account and shared a glimpse of his journey to the Himalayan shrines. Prime Minister also consulted and reviewed the redevelopment projects of the Kedar valley after 2013 floods.
Arvind Kejriwal led AAP's Sanjay Singh mocked Prime Minister's visit calling him 'an Irani emperor' and said:
"Country has seen his meditation in 2002, in name of cow, as Anti-Romeo squad. Demonetisation was also a meditation. Even God knows his mediatiion, people will give an answer to his meditation on May 23."
Rabri Devi had earlier unleashed a foul-mouthed attack at PM Modi. While campaigning for her daughter Misa Bharti who is contesting from Patliputra Lok Sabha seat, RJD chief Lalu Yadav's wife said:
"The kind of language PM is using, he is 'naali ka keeda' (insects of the gutter). These people from JD(U) and the BJP all of them are 'naali ka keeda'. She (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) is wrong in saying Duryodhana, she should have used different language, he (PM) is an executioner. He who kills and abducts judges and journalists, this type of man will have what type of mindset and mentality, it will be ferocious. He is an executioner."
The Opposition campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections has been filled with abuses hurled against the Prime Minister. In an address at Ram lila maidan in Delhi, Prime Minister Modi said that the Opposition has new 'dictionary of love' for him quoting all the abuses against him.
He listed out all the foul language used by the opposition party against him:
Congress ke neta jiske samne natmastak hai unhone bhi mujhe maut ka saudagar kaha".
(Congress calls me Gandi nali ka keeda, Gangu teli, Pagal Kutta, Bhashmasur, Monkey, Virus, Dawood Ibrahim, HiItler, Batameez-nalayak beta, Rabbies infested monkey, rat, King of lies, Ravan, Snake, Scorpion, Venom and Maut ka Saudagar.)
